  • FOCUS

    Last year, for the first time,  I tried the tool of choosing the single topic of *thankfulness* as a keyword for my Christian walk.  If I were to rate myself at the end of the year, it would *not* be *good*.   That is not to say that I am lacking in thankfulness.  My rating is more a reflection of inadequate tracking of the topic.  I have been lazy in recording the quotes, comments, events, sermons, song, etc which would relate to my topic.

    So, this year as I embark again on another year of life, striving to serve God in my family and commuity,  I plan to use an acrostic to help me stay focused.

    F = friendly

    O = observant

    C = creative

    U = understanding

    S = service

    Do you do something like this?

  • Good morning
    I like your acrostic idea. I use acrostics with my students often to help them remember key ideas, but I've not applied the principle to my own need to keep God's principles actively in the forefront of my mind. I will now give this some thought and prayer -- what is the acrostic that God would have me focus on this year. Thanks for sharing this! Blessings, Laurie
