  • Heritage Park

Walking has been a simple form of exercise for me.  By far the most enjoyable, besides ballet.  But that's a different story.

Here's a link to a mapquest view of the park where I walk the most.  If you click on it, be sure and find the box for *aerial view* (upper right area).  Click on that.  Look at the very bottom (center) of the screen for the figure eight or three circles.  That's the multi-use path where I walk - sometimes by myself but mainly with DH.

Not much narrative is needed here.  The pictures tell all.  It's very flat -  an easy jaunt.  Playing fields in the  middle usually filled with guys playing soccer.  There are always families around.  You might can spot a toddler on a trike or a mother pushing a stroller

It takes only 35 minutes to walk briskly around the circles twice.  When I want to walk longer and further, I visit River Green

Back up the steps to the car and home.

    Where do you walk?

  • Oh my, how different your landscape looks! We've had snow for months. It melts a little during the day and then freezes again at night, so that you have to be very careful when you even step outside for a friendly "hello" with the neighbor. I'm doing the Leslie Sansone videos inside, but I'm looking forward to spring! Her videos do get boring by the end of the winter, but I'm not very athletically inclined so her easy steps appeal to me. Have you tried the kick-boxing one? It is a little different from the others and added a little interest :)
Thanks for inspiring me to continue walking.... I always need fresh inspiration to keep up the exercise routine.
