  • Abandoned Glory

A culture is perennially in need of renewal.

A culture does not survive and prosper merely by being taken for granted; active defense is always required, and imaginative growth, too.

    Russell Kirk
    American writer/thinker
    1918 - 1994

This quote just couldnt be passed up.  I like the individual words:  perennial, renewal, survive, prosper, active defense, and imaginative growth.  They are chock full of meaning, not unlike a picture worth a thousand words.

Learn more about Kirk at his website.

And because I dont have a good picture or illustration to capture your attention, I will leave you with a link to the photography exhibit I hope to see this weekend.  Slowexposures.org
